Love Yourself Today

As the week begins, we can easily get caught up in the hurry and chaos of the week.  While trying to meet all of our obligations and responsibilities to our family, friends, and coworkers, we often forget to stop and care for ourselves and our needs.

We forget to show ourselves some loving care.

It is important to remember that caring for ourselves is not selfish, it is what is required to allow us to have the energy and focus we need to help those around us.

Taking time to love and care for ourselves is the best way to love and care for others.

So, today I encourage you to:

Until next time, have a happy, healthy day!

What Are You Grateful RIGHT NOW?

As I write this, I am sitting on my patio on a sunny, 80 degree afternoon while sipping a glass of wine, and listening to the birds sing and chirp merrily.  It is blissful and I am grateful.

There are so many things to be grateful for every moment of every day that we can often take some of life’s simple pleasures for granted.  But, if we take a few short moments each day to stop and reflect on what we have to be thankful for in that moment, we can begin to see how truly fortunate we are, even if that particular instant is not one of our best or happiest.  Finding things to express gratitude for, even the smallest things, opens us up to receive many more circumstances, events, and individuals for which to be grateful.  It is a not so vicious cycle…

When I wake up in the morning, I set a reminder on my phone for a random time of day that will focus my attention on being grateful then and there!  When I do this, without exception, my day gets better, I feel happier, inspired, relaxed, and work becomes easier and more enjoyable.

It is a great way to give yourself a non-caffeinated pick me up!

Try it!  You will be amazed at your results!

So without further ado, here is what I am grateful for right now:

  1. I am grateful for sunny days.
  2. I am grateful that my ears allow me to hear the birds singing.
  3. I am grateful for my glass of wine.
  4. I am grateful for my faithful dog, Jake.
  5. I am grateful it is warm outside.
  6. I am grateful for the beautiful flowers blooming in my yard.
  7. I am grateful I live in a quiet, peaceful, and friendly neighborhood.
  8. I am grateful to the Universe for the creative inspiration to write this post.
  9. I am grateful I awoke to this amazing day.
  10. I am grateful to YOU for reading this blog!

Until next time, have a happy, healthy, grateful day!!!

I AM…

Recently, I have been focusing on, “I am…” statements.  The words, “I AM” are extremely powerful tools in the manifestation process.  The words that follow, “I am”, shape your reality.

WHY?

The Universe takes what we say after these two words as a statement of fact about what we believe ourselves to be.

Often, we use “I am” statements to create or reinforce negative beliefs:

  • I am tired.
  • I am poor.
  • I am stupid.
  • I am fat.
  • I am terrible at…
  • I am unloveable.
  • I am a victim

When used this way, “I am” statements doom us to continuely create and recreate negative results.

Fortunately, we can manifest our dreams and design an amazing life simply by using powerful positive “I am” statements.

What do you want to create in your life?  Do you want more money?  More friends?  A better job?   Who do you want to be?  Do you want to be healthy?  Beautiful?  Intelligent?Think about who you want to be and what you want to attract into your life and then add the words, “I AM”, at the beginning.

For example:

  • If you want to be a millionaire try the phrase,  I AM wealthy.
  • For individuals who want to attract a soul mate, begin with,  I AM loved.
  • If you want vibrant health or to be rid of a pain or illness try, I AM healthy.
  • Need some inspiration for an artistic project?  I AM creative.

You get the idea.

Don’t forget phrases like:

  • I AM talented.
  • I AM intelligent.
  • I AM a philanthropist.
  • I AM adventurous.
  • I AM successful.

I suggest taking some time over the next few days to review your goals and write down 1-2 inspiring and exciting “I am” statements for each goal.  It does not matter if it is true now, it simply needs to be a positive belief.

I have created a list of “I am” statements for myself and my goals and have encouraged many of my clients to do the same.  Both my clients and myself have noticed that we feel more confident, more enthusiastic about our goals, and overall happier.  It is amazing that 2 simple words have the power to attract so many spectacular and thrilling thoughts, circumstances, experiences, and people into our lives.

Once you have your “I am” statements written down, invest some time daily into reading them or speaking them out loud (I like to record mine and listen to them over and over) to fully immerse yourself in their power.

So until next time, remember:

I LOVE Money…

For many of us, having more money is one of our goals.  Perhaps we want to earn more money, increase our financial freedom, create a source of passive income, or become a multimillionaire.  But, despite our best efforts we struggle to achieve our dreams of wealth and security.

Why?

As we go through life we develop beliefs and attitudes about money that run counter to our intentions to attract more:

  • Rich people are “bad”.
  • Money isn’t spiritual.
  • Money is the root of all evil.
  • Money changes people.
  • Money doesn’t bring happiness.
  • etc…

We have a love/hate relationship with money.  We love it because it makes us feel happy, helps us care for our families, and pays our bills, but it also brings us stress and feelings of lack, envy, and greed.

However, in order to attract the money we want to improve our lives (and the lives of those around us) we MUST learn to love and respect money.  Take a few moments to consider how much kindness and respect you give your money.  For example:

  1. Do you have money wadded up in the bottom of your purse/briefcase, or is your money neatly sorted in your wallet?
  2. Do you “blame” money for your problems?  “No matter what I do I never have enough money!”
  3. Do you carelessly waste money on things you do not need or do you enjoy saving up for that special item?
  4. Do you have a financial plan or do you stash your money here, there, and everywhere?

For years, I treated my money with total disrespect.  I kept extra cash lying around the house or stashed in a desk drawer, I tossed spare change on the seat of my car, I bought what ever I wanted whenever I wanted it, and I made no attempts to wisely invest a portion of my income.

It wasn’t until I started “taking care” of my money that my finances started to shift.  Now, I keep spare cash locked in a safe, I neatly tuck my spare change into a change pouch, I follow (mostly) a budget, and I set up an auto debit from my checking account to fund my IRA.  I take time each day to show my money love, respect, and gratitude.  It has taken time, patience, and dedication but I am seeing an increase in my finances as well as in opportunities and creative ideas to help me make more.

If reaching your financial goals is a bit of a challenge for you, take some time to consider if you are treating your money the way you want money to treat you.  Ask yourself,

“If I treated my friends/family the way I treat my money, how many fulfilling relationships would I have?”

If the answer is not many, then try this exercise to help you regain a positive, loving relationship with your finances:

Every day for the next month, write down at least 10 reasons you LOVE money.  Consider things like: money makes me happy, money helps me care for my family, money bought me a new car, money supports me in all ways, giving money to help others brings me joy, money is a physical representation of positive energies, etc…

This can be a powerful method to begin to rebuild a strong, healthy relationship with your finances.

Have fun!!!
